The Deathmakers

thedeathmakersThe Deathmakers by Glen Sire

With a title like The Deathmakers, you know you’re in for a treat. According to the back cover, The Deathmakers “makes From Here to Eternity sound like a Mother Goose story.” It’s a novel of WWII, with the usual profanity (i do enjoy a nice burst of profanity) and crudity one would expect from soldiers in wartime. Our heroes in The Deathmakers are conquering Germany towards the end of the war, wih al the accompanying tank battles and shooting and such. It’s not a bad book, but other authors have covered much of the same ground with better results. Grade: C+

mass market paperback

Crest 1961
